The Microcystin ELISA is an immunoassay for the quantitative and sensitive congener-independent* (PCT WO 01/18059 A2) detection of microcystins and nodularins in water samples. A presample preparation is not required. If necessary, positive samples can be confirmed by HPLC, protein phosphatase assay or other conventional methods.

The test is an indirect competitive ELISA that allows the congener-independent detection of microcystins and nodularins.
